One thing he was correct about

Barrack Hussein Obama has fulfilled one of his basic promises, and he wasn’t really bashful about it. He stated that the cost of electricity would skyrocket way back when he was talking to the San Francisco Chronicle: “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket”.

And they have! In the old days of the 1980s, we paid six maybe seven cents a kilowatt hour ( a kilowatt is a thousand watts per hour, that is the measurement of electrical output). This June, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average cost across the country is 14.3 cents. This is basically a 44% increase since the mid-1980s to now.

One of the reasons that companies go offshore with their jobs, is to hunt for cheaper labor, cheaper land and cheaper electricity. Manufacturing requires electricity. In the 1913 the Bureau of Labor Statistics has been keeping the electricity price index number. From 1913 through 1947 the price of electricity in the United States went down. How is that possible? Simple, the government encouraged the construction of electrical generating plants, because the government in those days wanted industry to grow. The government wanted industries to grow, wanted them to create jobs and build a middle-class and between 1913- 1947 this is exactly what happened.

From 1913 to 1947 the net price (it actually went up and down) but it started a steady trend up for a variety of reasons, and it zoomed up after we got in trouble with OPEC, and all kinds of other issues such as environmentalism, but it tapered off and there were some years it dropped, in the latter George Bush years. The rates have taken off again in the last five years to fulfill Barack Hussein Obama’s assurances that the price of electricity would skyrocket.

Are you happy with that? Does it affect your wallet any? This is an example of this president making a campaign promise that is not the opposite of what he actually did; it is actually what he did say he would do. Then you realize you elected a guy who promised to raise your electricity and he has done it.
