LA Times

The L.A. Times headlined on March 6th that “7,000 immigrant children ordered deported without going to court”. You will remember that the official number was 62, 363 ‘children’ (many of them sporting M-15 gang tattoos) actually came across the border and immigration hearings were filed for them. Of those, 1,900 have been deported. 7,700 have had deportation proceedings started against them because they never showed up in court for the scheduled hearing predicted long ago. Now because they did not show up, the defense lawyers are saying they did not get due process. Completely impossible for them to understand that they did not show up because they did not show up. Well that is because they didn’t get proper notice. Again, completely ignoring that the notices that were sent out went to the addresses that they gave when they were first processed. If they gave a phony address, they might not have gotten the notice, but whose fault is that- ours?
