Random Oddservations™ Do you realize that the Democrats are running two white candidates who are both older than colored television?

Weaker in Review

  • Atheist activists penned a letter to President Barack Obama on Feb. 4, imploring the commander in chief to “do something no American president has ever done: reach out to secular America.”The letter, which was penned by Freedom From Religion Foundation co-presidents Annie Laurie Gaylor and Dan Barker and sent to Obama on the same day that he addressed the National Prayer Breakfast last week, asked Obama to welcome the “nonreligious to the ‘American family.’” “We respectfully invite you, in your final year in office, to do something no American president has ever done: reach out to secular America. Such attention from the Office of the President would demonstrate that freethinkers, atheists, agnostics, secular humanists and rationalists are accepted citizens.” Funny, they think they are not accepted but all the religious individuals I know accept them fully and pray for them. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/02/11/atheists-letter-to-obama-includes-big-request-that-asks-him-to-do-something-historic-that-no-american-president-has-ever-done
  • An 11th state looks ready to join a national movement to sideline the Electoral College and decide presidential elections by popular vote. A bipartisan bill moving through the Arizona legislature aims to reallocate the state’s 11 electoral votes to the presidential candidate who wins the majority of votes on a national scale rather than the candidate who wins the state. Robert Hathorne, a Republican activist residing in Arizona, warns that the initiative would “fundamentally change America” by shifting the national political system from a representative democracy to a pure democracy. The framers of the Constitution established the Electoral College to give smaller states a voice against larger states when selecting the nation’s leader. Electoral votes are delegated based on a state’s population. Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution reads: “No state shall, without the consent of Congress … enter into any agreement or compact with another state or with a foreign power.” 10 heavily Democratic states have already agreed to it which I guess is what you would expect. http://dailysignal.com/2016/02/08/does-your-state-want-to-replace-electoral-college-with-popular-vote-for-president

Describing ilLiberals by the D’s:

DISTORT Verb : To change the natural, normal, or original shape, appearance, or sound of (something) in a way that is usually not attractive or pleasing: to change (something) so that it is no longer true or accurate.

Liberals like to use the terms “liberal” and “progressive” as if they were positive terms. Just read the definition: “willing to discard traditional values” and “not strictly literal or exact.” There is nothing good about being a liberal or progressive. The term “liberal” has been distorted to include abortion on demand, gay marriage, executive action without consent of Congress, running large deficits to fund government entitlement programs, funding Planned Parenthood to kill babies and make money doing so, etc. There is nothing liberal or progressive about these items. They can better be classified as stupid, immoral, amoral, idiotic, moronic or foolish.

One of many, many, many examples (Some of which I have already written about on my blog): After the 2014 midterm elections, in which the Republicans picked up seats in the House of Representatives and 9 Senate seats, the White House (meaning Barrack Hussein Obama) informed Congress that it would wait on the confirmation of Loretta Lynch, an African American, as the new Attorney General until after the new Congress was sworn in January 2015. At that time it certainly seemed strange, but when you think it through, it was a well designed DECEIT that they could DISTORT. The Democrats controlled the Senate and only needed a simple majority to get Loretta Lynch confirmed as Attorney General, there had to be something nefarious going on. This meant that Lynch would have to be confirmed by a Senate with 54 Republicans. It just didn’t make sense.

Then in March 2015, Rachel Maddow on MSNBC, stated Lynch’s confirmation was being held up by the Republicans in the Senate and that it had been 4 months since she was nominated. With the 4 month delay, Maddow informed us it was the longest delay in American history for an Attorney General to be confirmed after being nominated for that position. Maddow was blaming the Republicans for the 4 month delay, when in fact, the Republicans had only been in control of the Senate for 2 months. Liberals went on the attack every chance they had to portray the Republicans as racist in keeping Lynch from being confirmed as Attorney General, conveniently forgetting that the White House said it was fine with them to wait until the new Republican Senate was in power. Distortion at its finest.

Rock-It™ Listening to another prolific but barely recognized group from the 60’s-70’s- Ten Years After. They were a British blues-rock quartet consisting of Alvin Lee, guitar and vocals; Chick Churchill, keyboards; Leo Lyons bass; and Ric Lee, drums. They made it big in America at Woodstock and had a number of hits afterwards. The live album “Undead” and “Cricklewood Creek” were my favorite.

The Correct Side of the Story

  • Americans Support Teaching Students the Evidence For and Against Darwin’s Theory by Overwhelming Margin Just in time for Charles Darwin’s birthday on February 12, a new nationwide survey reveals that 81% of American adults believe that “when teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution, biology teachers should cover both scientific evidence that supports the theory and scientific evidence critical of the theory.” Only 19% of Americans believe that “biology teachers should cover only scientific evidence that supports the theory.” Finally, parents are becoming aware of the BS that is being taught to their children. https://larryemarshall.wordpress.com/2016/02/09/charles-darwins-birthday/
  • Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, has advocated for Wilhelmina Wrightand and negotiated a deal for her confirmation.  President Obama’s nominee for a federal judgeship in Minnesota accused the Reagan administration of “bigotry” in her writing for the prestigious UCLA Law Reviewin 1989. She wrote “Their mad scramble is aided by a Chief Justice who owned racially restrictive property and a Presidential administration that believes bigotry, poverty, and poor educational opportunities for most public school students are the unavoidable fruits of a ‘thriving’ free market economy.” She also wrote “the sanctity of property and the belief in the hierarchy of races” undergird racism in America.” Now why the rush to get her appointed: Relatively young at 52, Wright is seen as a possible addition to the Democratic short list for nominees to the U.S. Supreme Court. She has served as a judge at every level of the Minnesota state court system and has more than 25 years of experience. That is if the Democrats put Sanders or Hilarious Diane Rodham Clinton into the presidency. Does a behind the scenes conspiracy to change the Constitution start to form in your mind: http://dailysignal.com/2016/01/14/obama-judicial-nominee-who-accused-reagan-of-bigotry-faces-confirmation-vote/

Another blog copied last week’s Weaker in Review and I decided to reciprocate by copying a fairly current article they had posted : https://larrythecontrarian.wordpress.com/2016/02/09/896/
