Too many things to add this week.

Describing ilLiberals by the D’s:  We have discussed DECEIVE, DECEIT, DISTORT, DESTROY, and DIVERSION.  How about DELUSION?

A belief that is not true: a false idea.

delusion

Where to start with the “delusional” liberals. Could write an entire book on this. The delusion that there is no God? The delusion “man made” global warming is a fact. The delusion the Bible teaches gay marriage is acceptable. The delusion that unborn babies are just “fetal” tissue and not human. Unborn babies have human DNA. The delusion Obama is a good, decent person and a great family man. The delusion increasing taxes on the wealthy produces a healthy growing economy. The delusion Obamacare will reduce health care costs going forward.  Could go on and on.

Rock-It™  One or two hit wonders.  The BoxTops, Norman Greenbaum,  The Pied Pipers, The Left Banke, etc.  Some really good songs and occasionally good music.

Despite opposition from former educators, school boards, and public officials for his “blind commitment” to Common Core, a Senate panel Wednesday voted in favor of confirming John King Jr. to serve as the secretary of education through the end of President Barack Obama’s term. Despite opposition from former educators, school boards, and public officials for his “blind commitment” to Common Core, a Senate panel Wednesday voted in favor of confirming John King Jr. to serve as the secretary of education through the end of President Barack Obama’s term.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee approved Obama’s nomination, 16-6. With the committee’s blessing, King’s confirmation will go before the full Senate.

Obama nominated King, who currently serves as acting secretary, last month. He would succeed Arne Duncan, who stepped down from the post in December 2015, and tapped King to serve as his second-in-command early last year.

Sen. Lamar Alexander, chairman of the Senate HELP Committee, praised his members for approving the new Department of Education head, who will be tasked with overseeing the implementation of the latest iteration of No Child Left Behind.

“I urged the president to sent the Senate a nominee for education secretary, and after today’s vote, we are a step closer to having a confirmed secretary who will be accountable to Congress as we work together to ensure the new law is implemented just as Congress wrote it—reversing the trend toward a national school board and restoring to those closest to children the responsibility for their well-being and academic success,” Alexander, R-Tenn., said in a statement.

Six lawmakers on the Senate HELP Committee opposed King’s nomination Wednesday, including Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., who explained his decision to oppose King in a series of posts on his Twitter account. Despite the few senators on the Senate HELP Committee who opposed King, his appointment has not been met without controversy. During confirmation hearings last week, neither Republicans nor Democrats asked King a single question on his tenure with the New York State Education Department, of which he served as commissioner from 2011 to 2015. King’s time as commissioner has been described as a period of “turmoil,” particularly because of his “blind commitment” to Common Core and other programs reforming education in New York.

“Under King, Common Core implementation was a disaster, teacher evaluation was a disaster, testing was a disaster, massive data gathering was a disaster, and having public meetings to manage public reaction to the other disasters was a disaster,” Peter Greene, an English teacher who frequently writes on education for the Huffington Post, wrote on his own blog, Curmudgucation, last month. http://dailysignal.com/2016/03/09/senate-committee-votes-to-confirm-obama-education-nominee-despite-criticism-of-commitment-to-common-core

2) In 2012, President Barack Obama promised the American people about his new Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that “this is not amnesty; this is not immunity. This is not a path to citizenship.” Now more than ever, the president’s statement has proven to be blatantly false, writes Sen. Mike Lee. Here’s how it works: Aliens who legally enter the United States but do not have a valid visa have long been allowed to apply for “advance parole,” an immigration document that allows aliens to re-enter the United States after traveling abroad. The statute says the federal government can grant advance parole only on a case-by-case basis and only for “urgent humanitarian reasons” or “significant public benefit.” But after Obama announced his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, the United States Citizenship Services office announced that for DACA recipients, “significant public benefit” now included “educational purposes, employment purposes, or humanitarian purposes.”

Later, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services guidance added that “educational purposes include, but are not limited to, semester abroad programs or academic research.” This means that a DACA recipient who came to the country illegally could now apply for advance parole, travel home to Mexico for a “semester abroad,” and then legally re-enter the United States. http://dailysignal.com/2016/03/07/obamas-amnesty-loophole/?

Describing ilLiberals by the D’s:

We have discussed DECEIVE, DECEIT, DISTORT and DESTROY. Now we deal with DIVERSION: Noun

diversion

Something that takes attention away from what is happening. I don’t know why but the Iran deal comes to mind. This deal is supposed to keep Iran from getting the bomb and having a war start with Israel and its regional partners-correct. That is what our leaders said it would do, correct. The problem with that is this: Iran will be getting upwards of $150 billion from signing the deal and then we will allow Iranian oil to be sold on the world market. Iran can buy a few nuclear weapons and finance terrorist groups around the world with this huge influx of money. The Obama regime and its minions in the media are allowing the Iranian terrorist government to expand terrorism in the world, especially against Israel, Europe and America. $ 150 billion buys a lot of nukes. Build? Buy? To paraphrase a Hillary quote, “Does it really matter”?
